I felt playful after finishing a project this past weekend and decided to do something different with part of the leftover clay. The palette was already dark, so I decided to glam it up by adding the purple and turquoise Shimmer Mica Powders from the All the Pretty Flowers collection. Glitter had been part of the previous project and so was already included in the Clay. I textured my clay with the Abstract Waves texture mat and then painted the powder on the Clay with a small brush. I absolutely love how the colors turned out and how the glitter comes through the powder! Here are some earrings waiting to be finished and my slab as I was cutting out the earrings.

Pigments are strong and look great on polymer clay. Will add moe of these!

I’ve used these gorgeous powders a number of times with lovely results. Appears to be well-adhered to polymer clay after curing but I suggest one to two coats of the varnish of your choice to not only make sure they’re permanent but also to bring out their gorgeous luster.
