April FAUX! Can we "fool" you this month with some of the amazing faux techniques?
Polymer artists continue to absolutely amaze me with faux versions of wood, metals, leather and fabrics, a huge assortment of gemstones, and many other faux options. I wish I had time to just stop everything else and try every single one. They are definitely on my bucket list when it comes to things to-do!
Our cover artist, Klio Tsaliki, who we are thrilled to have as a regular contributor to Passion for Polymer, shares a bit more about her creative world, and shares a tutorial for amazing faux wood Yosegi.
We are also sharing tutorials for faux coleus leaves and faux vintage buttons, along with other great projects including Helen Terlalis Dorn's adorable Easter Rabbit sculpture you'll want to recreate yourself. This month in her creative kitchen The Polymer Chef revisits a technique and whips up some stunning purple holographic beads.
Our gallery this month includes projects made with faux wood, faux jade, faux silver & bronze, faux stone, faux leather, faux turquoise, faux animal prints, faux ceramic, faux agate and more. It's a simply "faux-tastic" assortment to inspire you.
Why not take a tour outside what may be your comfort zone and try something faux.
We encourage all artists to submit their work for consideration for upcoming issues. Passion for Polymer is YOUR magazine. We want to highlight the work of a variety of creative artists from around the world, with vastly different styles, and the best way to do that is by inviting all of you to share your work! You can find our submission information, themes, and deadlines at www.PassionforPolymer.com.
