Shimmering Ripples & Waves - Create Along Box Projects

Klio Tsakili shares some amazing shimmering projects created with elements from the Ripples & Waves Create Along Box!
This is a necklace I made using the wavy flexible stencil included in my September Create Along Box. Background clay is a combination of Cernit Metallics and Premo Accents skinner blend on top of which I stenciled with white acrylic color. When acrylic dried completely I applied on top of it
some colorful mica powders to give it the color and shine you see in the picture. Then I gave it this wavy shape by folding it a bit. A hollow tube is attached at the back side, which holds together all the seed bead strands. Finally I placed the tiny ceramic cabochons using a liquid clay to hold them in place. I cured the liquid clay up to the point it was not liquid so it could hold the ceramic cabochons in place, and then popped it into the oven, baked as usually and added the beaded strands.
Shiny brooch made of a Skinner blend using Cernit Metallics new colors. After making the Skinner blend I cut it with the ripple blade and placed them again together alternating the ends in a way so that both sides of the Skinner blend could have the entire color range.
The strips were placed on a thin sheet of clay to hold them together, then textured with a crackle stamp and shaved to a mica shift finish! Finally, I folded the sheet according to my Fabriclay technique.
