It's fun and easy to create boxes and jars- directly from clay, without any “base” inside. You can use all kinds of things as an insert to remove after- OR you can use a blank. I really like using metal cookie cutters as a base because they flex a little and I find it easy to remove the clay. You can also use our bracelet cuffs- just line it with some deli paper before baking, because when you put a large piece of clay against that bake-able plastic, the clay will want to stick to it which makes it harder to remove. Not impossible, but perhaps frustrating. Have fun with this technique!
We have loads of tiny stamps called Texture Tips to help you create the patterns.
We have a nice basketweave rolling stamp to create the outer texture.
