Please help.

Hello! If you're here to help me boost CreateAlong and battle against the bots, please follow the directions- it's really easy. This is the back story:

Bots from overseas (specifically China, Singapore, Mexico) overran the site in the past couple of months and messed up our traffic statistics on Google, Bing, Facebook, and everywhere it counts. The bots are designed to quietly take down small business by making the website irrelevant in search engines and marketing ads. The way they work is by flooding the site with "fake traffic" what they do is visit, stay for a couple of seconds, and leave. This makes the site look devalued to search engines, because obviously it must not have anything to offer if no one stays longer than a few seconds. 

NOTE: THIS IS NOT A "ONE TIME THING." I WILL BE ASKING FOR THIS KIND OF HELP SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE NEXT 2 MONTHS, TO RESET OUR SEARCH ENGINE ALGORITHM. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND FOR HELPING! 

Here's how you can help- either by sticking around for a few minutes, or by making a purchase, either way it helps to "reset" our search algorithm. Just you reading to this line is helping! Keep reading for more details :) 

Start by setting a timer and staying on the site for at least 5 minutes. Even if you just leave it open, scroll around, and make a cup of coffee :)

Don't forget to CLOSE the site when you are done, because if Google sees you on the site for an hour without moving... it thinks YOU are a bot :) 

Google (and other search engines) needs to see the following things:

  • Real people visit, and spend at least 5 minutes here.
  • They click around to multiple pages before leaving- not just here, and then gone. 
  • They add something to their cart.
  • They complete a purchase. 
    • NOTE: IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO MAKE A PURCHASE, PLEASE DON'T ADD ANYTHING TO YOUR CART. Adding to cart and then leaving are also a "bad" signal, it means people don't value what I sell enough to actually buy it. The Algorithms are truly crazy.
    • Instead, you can use your wish list to "heart things for later."
