Contribute to Passion for Polymer Magazine

Passion for Polymer invites you to submit a special interest article idea, or submit for our monthly themes and topics. Open calls may be submitted at any time and we will fit them into our regular publication schedule as we see fit, monthly topics are more timely and deadlines are posted on the submission page.

All tutorials must be original ideas not published previously. You must be the originator of the design you wish to publish, and you must have the right to publish it in print and digital format without infringing on another person or company's copyright.

 

If you have a great idea to submit, please don't share photos on social media until we have an agreed upon publication date.

All Authors are credited according to the byline you provide when you submit your article. You will receive a free digital and print copy of the issue you are published in, and monetary compensation will be provided.

Please note that while all queries will be considered, it’s likely that not all will be chosen. Submissions (once your article is approved).

1. Article: Word limit: between 500-2000 words. Include photos to illustrate your concept. If it is a feature article, 2-4 photos. For tutorials please plan on including as many step-out photos as necessary for people to learn the technique or project. Photos should be numbered to go along with the text instructions. Include a short (one or two sentences) bio, with links to your blog/social media and a photo of your beautiful self. You can see exactly what is needed for your submission at this link so you can get ready. ​ Hot Tips: How To Write A Successful Article or Tutorial Create a catchy title. For example, instead of ‘Polymer Clay Ornament,’ try ‘How to make a Gorgeous Winter Scene Bauble.’ Think about opening with an inspiring quote that relates to your work or topic. Offer tips and tools for the reader to implement in their own crafting. Give them something to think about and learn from. Use subheadings, bolded parts and/or bullet points to highlight key points or phrases. Write short paragraphs, this allows it to flow better and read easier.

Integrity: Your submission must be your own original work. We will not accept work that has been published elsewhere, including your personal blog. Please reserve all self-promotion to your byline. One or two links in the article to a related website is acceptable ONLY if it is necessary to the flow of your submission. Any submissions that are overwhelmingly “salesy” will not be accepted. ​

Promotion: To further spread the word about your feature in Passion for Polymer Magazine, we ask that you share a link to www.Passionforpolymer.com either on your blog or via social media at least once during the month in which you are featured. ​

Submission Checklist:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Mailing Address
  • Links to your URLS
  • Title of your submission
  • Submission attached in word, Google Doc, or PDF format
  • Appropriate photos- well lit and close up Bio Bio photo
  • Ensure all spelling and grammar is correct. We recommend you have someone proofread it before submitting.

How To Submit: Before submitting, we recommend that you read at least one issue of Polymer Clay Universe Magazine and are familiar with our purpose.

Once approved, use the links on the Submissions Page to upload to the appropriate category. ​ Hint: Signing up to our weekly newsletter is great way to get to know us! ​​
